Company Overview- Empowering Great Missions®
Over 15 years ago, OneCause set out to revolutionize charitable fundraising. OneCause's mission is to help no profits connect with more donors and raise more money for their goals. OneCause is dedicated to Empowering Great Missions® through powerful fundraising solutions.
Problem Focus
The OneCause fundraising platform did not provide a dedicated milestones page to guide users through the essential steps for setting up their organization. Additionally, the existing dashboard contained graphs and statistics which lacked actionable insights, especially for new users. This created significant friction in the onboarding process, leaving users without a clear roadmap or tools to track their
progress effectively.

Solution Space
Designing a unified dashboard that integrates actionable milestones, provides real-time organizational insights, and links to resources, streamlining onboarding and driving efficiency.

Providing context into the "Who"

We are designing for the Fearless Fundraiser™—a user or an organization who is relatively new to the OneCause platform and can greatly benefit from the milestones curated by the OneCause team. This user benefits from the guidance to organize efficiently, streamline processes, and achieve their fundraising goals.

Iteration 1
Keeping the current statistic dashboard and just adding a checklist to guide the user.
Iteration 2
Adding a status (Needs Review, In progress etc) to each milestone and having small checklists within each milestones. The Statistical view is still on the screen.

Breaking down the design

Simplistic Milestones and Status
Five key milestones guide users in setting up their organization effectively. Each milestone includes a progress status, with some marked as RECOMMENDED by OneCause for their significant impact on organization setup. Once the Milestones are complete, it stacks at the bottom and is there for a temporary period.
Final Designs

What did this achieve?

Simplified the setup process, enabling new users to quickly understand and complete essential tasks, reducing time-to-activation for the platform.
The Face of the Product should not be overwhelming graphs, but actionable insights that allow users to start achieving their fundraising goals.

Everything what the user needs right in the beginning. The user now also has access to OneCause Web Resources right of the bat.

Iteration 3
Making a card for each milestone with a Status Tag to indicate the progress of the User. Furthermore, the statistic dashboard is now moved to a tab on the top of the screen.

Iteration 4
Getting rid of Tabs on the top and adding an analytics section to the side menu. Making the Cards more compatible with OneCause Design System.
Iteration 5
Cleaning up the Dashboard for important information. Adding a progress bar to indicate the user of their progress.
